Hello,
Found a shady litecoin node at
http://80.101.227.103:9327/static/
Anyone know what this guy is doing?
Looks to me he is up to something.

http://80.101.227.103:9327/static/ is just someone who didn't upgrade and got forked off when the LTC network switched to v33 shares.

Why pool rate on BCH p2pool is wrong? May be p2p-spb.xyz:9338/static/ is not on 9348?

The pool rate on http://p2p-spb.xyz:9338/static/classic/ looks correct to me. It's the same as what I see on my own node, http://ml.toom.im:9348/static/.

The fact that this server is using port 9338 just means that the operator decided to use port 9338 instead of the default port for a BCH p2pool node of 9348 by passing p2pool a "-w 9338" command-line option. This may be because there used to be a conflict on BCH p2pool with an old (and dumb) choice of Litecoin p2pool ports. The port that a node uses has no bearing on the functionality of p2pool.

Thank you. But pool hashrate not correct for all nodes.

Jtoomim, I just recently updated to your newest 1mb_segwit commit and it seems to be rather buggy for me. I get spammed with the ' found 191 payment dests. Antminer S9s may crash when this is close to 226' message and it seems that all of my miners shares end up discarded. My miners connect and hash shows for a second, and then it slowly dwindles away. Tried this on two different fresh loads of Ubuntu now following your page 1 instructions. I tried seeing if going back to feechecking branch would change anything, I've been on that branch since your first or second commit with it months ago. Only thing that changed unfortunately was that my hash would show fully locally now and not dwindle off, but the miners gui still showed ALL discarded shares. All of this with LTC of course.

What's your node IP? Can you provide screenshots? Are you using L3+s? Have you tried pointing your machines at another node for testing, such as ml.toom.im:9327?

http://cyberdyne-mining.io:9320/static/ is my node. I am using L3+'s and I pointed one your way to test it out. I'm actually not showing up on your node either, but my miner gui shows ALIVE still. I let the miner stay on your node for about 10mins until I pulled them off. I was using p2pool version 15.0-98-g10f324f(feechecking branch) before updating to current 1mb_segwit. As for the message that was I though was spammed, I guess that was because your newer code shows that info every time a good share is accepted into the chain. But any who, tested 4 different L3+'s now, all the same. Let me know what else I can do to help or information I could provide, thanks again.

Greetings!

The predict disappears independently of capacity web. All the work done is melting before our eyes. This has never happened. It seems that the work is being stolen. It started three days ago. The network 9334 dies.
Something happens all over the p2p network algorithm sha256. But especially this is felt in the networks of the BTC and BTC. What are your plans? Will you have a fork with 200 addresses? If not, then this is bad.

You're some stupid and stupid person who's in the same pack as a stupid sheep, Now I look and see the p2pool 9332 and 9334 work. Someone somewhere has escaped, what of the Chinese ? If people created the branch p2pool and allowed only from a specified hashrate what you write stupidity ? If you are so stupid and can not figure out how to get to this pool then who is your doctor ? Or do you just have envy ?

I'm curious, what was the reason behind the creation of a "vip" btc p2pool?

most likely just a private sharechain for a group of miners that want to risk it a little bit more for possibly higher single rewards for found blocks.

Incorrect statement. We all know who was digging in a branch p2pool 9334 that when it reaches 220 working device asik C9 has fallen off from p2pool ... who understood the problem replaced the miner, but it was done by 20% of the total number of users on p2pool, respectively, those who made a new branch - solved this problem by controlling the number of addresses. Since large capacities with a large number of mining devices did not want to and will not manually change miners on devices and wait for the next collapse

Guess I missed out on some p2pool drama about 2 pages ago. But my statement isn't entirely untrue. Maybe for the 'vip chain' question, but I know many that have started private p2pool sharechains.

That's because of people like you, collapses the whole system p2pool, not knowing the problem, you take to speak, you do not confuse the concept - private pool - as the essence and p2pool-vip - it's not the same. On the jtoomim branch there is a problem, when reaching 220 workers, the network collapses. The new branch namely p2pool-vip is created for manual regulation of quantity of workers, in other words: come to this branch, but to 1 address not less than 500 Th - where you see signs of a private network ?

Thanks for the explanation, Vavdinno. I found out about p2pool-vip just today and was really surprised by the hashrate there.

Sorry, what networks other than jtoomimnet btc is currently experiencing this problem? What has changed in the last 3 days? I see 140 payout addresses in the current share, which is safely below the supposed 220+ limit.

I don't know what sedsem is talking about. None of my jtoomimnet BTC nodes have shown any problems over the last week except when the power went out at our building.

Kieff, if you can't get your L3+s to mine on my node, then the problem is with your L3+s or with your miner configuration, not with p2pool, as my nodes are working just fine for me. Perhaps you have extranonce_subscribe enabled, or perhaps you're trying to use a SegWit address? It looks like your node is currently down, otherwise I would try mining on it with one of my machines.

A new block is on VIP P2Pool!

Who wants to connect - send a PM here, or in Telegram (I distribute the participants on the nodes) @l_sawa
The necessary condition for connecting is the presence of permanent 500+ TH

@jtoomim on the BCH jtoomimnet we have been testing with some hashrate from Nicehash, and have met with a ""Current diff.:" never reaches 1000000" error on the Nicehash side. Have any idea about this? Thanks

imaginary_username, it seems you are not configuring your pseudoshare difficulty. Try using <1BCHADDRESS>+1100000 as your pool username. I remember nicehash had a pool testing feature, did you run it? Also, be extra careful to choose a reasonable share difficulty (append sth like '/80000000' to your pool username, depending on the hashrate you're planning to rent), or your might raise the minimum share difficulty for everyone in the pool.

@sagus thanks, the problem kept persisting. However...

... after some trial and error I found that adjusting a single parameter to 10x in /p2pool/bitcoin/networks/bitcoincash.py works. @jtoomim please check and merge.

Are you 18Da69RiLiWJoUxnkusT5DJHuWG6Ekz4Fp? Someone is mining with low share difficulty, finding shares every other second. From my last post:

@imaginary_username, yes, but it seems you've been mining with low difficulty again since 31MAI 0140UTC. The pool difficulty is currently at 78M from the usual 7-12M, which is really bad for payout fairness.

High difficulty shares actually improve fairness slightly. They adversely affect payout variance for small miners, not fairness.

My bad, I meant to write payout variance. Why does it improve fairness, though? Since the system self regulates for 1 min shares, does the stale rate depend on the value of the minimum diff?

I need some help. I finish to setup my p2pool - LTC at 27/5. I have set the node fee to 0.5% at a core wallet address. On the first few blocks, I can receive the node fee and the miner's payout. Until 30/5, just the miner payout can receive. Nothing on node payout. I try to reinstall the p2pool the litecoin core etc but still not help.
In my Bash
"Shares: 234 (4 orphan, 2 dead) Stale rate: ~2.6% (1-6%) Efficiency: ~102.7% (99-105%) Current payout: (0.0000)=0.0000 LTC"
however I have 1 share or more, Current payout still 0
Could anyone to tell me, what I miss or wrong in the setting ?
Do I need to run the bitcoin core too?

My litecoin.conf
